What is Loved Until Loud™?

Loved Until Loud is the Fall 2026 season of The Girlfriends' Experience™, and it began on Substack. This is where the writing comes off the page — a six-week group for women who are carrying more than they show. We meet for ninety minutes a week to talk honestly about the things that usually go unsaid — the exhaustion, the performing, the roles we hold together for everyone else — in a space facilitated by a licensed clinician and shared with women who understand.

Question 2

Is this the same as therapy? Does it take the place of therapy?

Accepted Answer

No. Group work creates community and shared experience in a therapeutic setting, but it does not replace individual therapy. If you're already working with a therapist, this can sit alongside that work beautifully. If you're not, this isn't a substitute for it — and I'm glad to point you toward resources if you're looking for one.

Question 3

Do I need to have read the Substack first?

Accepted Answer

No. Every woman who registers is given access to all resources and materials for the season, so nothing is assumed and nothing is missed. You can arrive having read every piece or none of them and be equally at home in the room.

Is this just the Substack in a group setting?

Accepted Answer

No. The writing is where these ideas live. The group is where you work them — out loud, with other women, in real time. Reading is something you do alone. This is the part you can't do alone.

Question 5

Who is this group for?

Accepted Answer

Women who are functioning — often beautifully — and still running on empty. Women navigating burnout, harm at work, relationships that ask a great deal of them, or a version of depression that doesn't look like depression from the outside. You don't need a diagnosis to belong here.

What happens in a session?

Each week centers on one theme, with guided conversation, a reflective activity, and time to simply be in the room together. The season is built as an arc — each week builds on the one before it, which is why the group stays closed once it begins.

Question 7

Do I have to talk?

Accepted Answer

No. You're invited, never required. Some women speak from the first night. Some listen for three weeks and then find their voice. Both belong here.

Loved Until Loud is facilitated by Danyell Wells, LCSW, founder and Clinical Director of The Well Within Therapy Center. I've spent over a decade across clinical practice, nonprofit leadership, and forensic social work, and I hold an M.A. in Criminology and Justice Services alongside my clinical license. Much of my work sits with burnout, chronic overfunctioning, and role strain — what happens to women who carry too much for too long, at work and everywhere else. Facilitated women's groups have been part of my practice for years, and this is the room I most wanted to build.
